Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 29 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Jivu&Co website (jivuco.online) and any services you request through us. By using this website or engaging our services, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Who we are
Jivu&Co is a Nigerian business-services company. We connect individuals and businesses with professional services, sourcing, trade, logistics, technology, business support and market intelligence. You can reach us at hello@jivuco.online or via WhatsApp on +1 (825) 787-0287.
JIVU & CO is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria as a business name under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020.
- CAC Business Name Registration Number: 7626963
- Principal place of business: No. 1 Opp. Marian Market, Calabar Municipality, Cross River State, Nigeria
- Nature of business: General Merchandise and General Contract
- Date of registration: 27 June 2024
Jivu & Co is a CAC-registered business name, not a limited liability company or incorporated entity.
2. Website use and acceptable use
You agree to use this website lawfully and responsibly. You must not:
- Provide false, misleading or fraudulent information in any form, enquiry or application.
- Use the website for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defraud or harm any person or business.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or other users' data.
- Scrape, copy or republish website content at scale without our written permission.
- Interfere with the website's operation, including introducing malware or spam.
We may suspend or block access for anyone who breaches these rules.
3. Our services and scope
Jivu&Co provides connection, coordination and support services across areas such as skilled trade services, construction, web and app development, architecture, importation and cargo coordination, trade finance introductions, AI-assisted export support, market intelligence and related business services.
The exact scope, deliverables, timeline and price of any engagement will be agreed with you in writing (for example, by email or WhatsApp confirmation) before work begins. A request, enquiry or quote submitted through the website is not a binding order until both sides confirm it.
4. Customer responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information, including contact details, delivery addresses and job requirements.
- Respond to reasonable requests for information needed to complete your job or order.
- Make payments as agreed and on time.
- Comply with all applicable laws, including Nigerian customs, tax and import regulations where relevant.
- Check goods, deliverables or completed work promptly and report any issues without unreasonable delay.
5. Independent third-party providers
Jivu & Co may facilitate, coordinate or connect customers with independent third-party service providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, those providers are independent businesses and are not employees, subsidiaries or agents of Jivu & Co.
For example, 3BROTHERS CARGO is an independent shipping company operated by a third party in China. It is not owned by, or part of, Jivu&Co. Where a job is performed by a third-party provider, the provider is responsible for performing its own services, and the provider's own terms may also apply.
6. Provider verification and qualification
Providers listed in the Jivu&Co directory go through an application and review process before approval. This review is intended to confirm basic identity, contact details and stated skills. However:
- Verification is not a guarantee of a provider's performance, quality, availability or conduct.
- We do not warrant the work of independent providers and are not a party to any contract you make directly with them.
- If you experience a problem with a provider we connected you with, contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to help resolve it, including removing providers who repeatedly fall short of our standards.
7. Quotes, estimates and pricing
Any quote or estimate given through the website, WhatsApp, email or phone is provided in good faith based on the information available at the time. Quotes may be revised if your requirements change, if information provided was incomplete or inaccurate, or if third-party costs change.
Shipping rates, delivery times, customs charges and other logistics costs provided by third-party providers are indicative or supplier-quoted estimates and may change. Customers should confirm final pricing and service terms with the relevant provider before proceeding.
Prices are generally quoted in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise. Foreign exchange movements may affect international sourcing, shipping and trade pricing.
8. Shipping and logistics
Where we coordinate shipping or cargo services (for example, sea cargo from China to Nigeria through third-party providers), the carriage of goods is performed by the relevant shipping or logistics provider, not by Jivu&Co. Delivery timelines are estimates and can be affected by weather, port congestion, vessel schedules, customs processing and other factors outside anyone's control.
Risk in, and responsibility for, goods in transit is governed by the shipping provider's terms. You are responsible for providing accurate descriptions, values and documentation for your goods. Prohibited or restricted items must not be shipped.
9. Importation and customs responsibilities
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, you (the customer/importer) are responsible for:
- Ensuring the goods you import are lawful in Nigeria and comply with all applicable regulations (including NAFDAC, SON and other agency requirements where applicable).
- Customs duties, tariffs, levies, port charges and clearance fees.
- Providing accurate declarations of the nature and value of goods.
Jivu&Co is not responsible for seizures, penalties, delays or additional charges arising from inaccurate declarations or prohibited goods.
10. Payments
Payment terms will be confirmed with you before work or shipping begins. Depending on the service, we may require full payment or a deposit in advance. Work, procurement or booking may not commence until cleared funds are received.
Bank charges, transfer fees and payment-processor fees are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise. Keep evidence of all payments you make.
11. Cancellations
You may cancel a request or order at any time before work, procurement or shipping has begun, subject to the terms of our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Once third-party costs have been incurred on your behalf (for example, supplier deposits, purchased goods, booked cargo space or commenced work), cancellation may not be possible or may incur charges.
12. Refunds
Refunds are handled in line with our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
13. Delays and circumstances outside our control
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: port congestion, customs delays, vessel or transport schedule changes, strikes, fuel scarcity, power outages, network or payment system failures, foreign exchange restrictions, government actions, epidemics, natural disasters, or the acts and omissions of third-party providers.
In such cases we will keep you informed and make reasonable efforts to minimise the impact.
14. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, design, logos and graphics — belongs to Jivu&Co or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
For work we create for you (for example, websites, apps or designs), ownership and usage rights will be set out in our agreement with you. Until full payment is received, deliverables remain the property of Jivu&Co.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law:
- Jivu&Co is not liable for the acts, omissions, quality or performance of independent third-party providers.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, revenue, data or business opportunity.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from our own services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
16. Dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, contact us first at hello@jivuco.online — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, the parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation or mediation before resorting to the courts.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with its "Last updated" date. Continued use of the website or our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
